9th Steering Committee AT-Virtual
On December 14, the ninth Steering Committee Meeting of the European Project AT-Virtual (INTERREG VB Atlantic Area funded by ERDF funds) took place, aiming to develop an open innovation methodology to improve maritime security and protection in the Atlantic Area.
This Committee was focused on finding out the degree of implementation of the technological solutions developed by the startups in the Maritime Safety Training Center, with the high majority of solutions in their last stages and the necessary actions to complete this phase.
It also discussed the capitalization strategy to follow, mainly through workshops around IoT, Big Data/Analytics, and Vision Technologies. Four capitalization workshops will be carried out from now till the end of the project by the Research & Innovation Centre, Tecnalia-Spain, and the three Business and Innovation Centers in their corresponding territories (CorkBIC-Ireland, IPN-Portugal, Laval Mayenne Technopole-France). Additionally, CEEI Asturias will host the final capitalization event of the project in Asturias, Spain. The virtual meeting counted with representatives from the following European partners involved in the project: CEEI Asturias (SP), as lead partner, Laval Mayenne Technopole (FR), Instituto Pedro Nunes (PT), South West Business & Technology Centre Ltd, CorkBIC (IR), Sociedad de Salvamento y Seguridad Marítima, through the Centro de Seguridad Marítima Integral Jovellanos (SP), Muster Technology University (IR), Escola Superior Náutica Infante D. Henrique (PT) and Tecnalia Research & Innovation Foundation (SP).
