Centro Jovellanos, Maritime Training Centre of the Spanish Maritime Safety and Rescue Agency, and Pibico, a Spanish technology startup specialized in digital consultancy, has successfully developed and launched the first prototype within the framework of the AT Virtual Project.
FormaciON is a communications tool developed on a basis of the technology of the Internet of Things and open-source software.
It is composed of:
- Three tailored types of devices were exclusively developed for the solution: F100 - Desktop devices, F200- Room devices and B100- individual mobile devices. For both receive visual and audio information and work as a tracer.
- A user-friendly platform to manage all the communications and devices. The platform allows monitoring all communications and assets working on a training session, as well as the participants and instructors. The information could be sent automatically or previously programmed to be sent on a specific date and time.
The prototype not only reach the expected objectives but also includes new elements that make the solution an operative system to improve the quality of training sessions.
